Promotional lanyards are widely used for trade shows, conferences, offices, governments, and other institutions. However, many of them are thrown away in dustbins after events, which is a waste of materials and energies. What’s worse, as most lanyards are made of nylons and polyesters that required a long time to break down, they polluted the earth, river and the sea when they are buried under the ground. If they are burn in the open air, they defile the air as well.
However, the problem can be solved by environmental friendly lanyards. One of them is made from bamboo and print used on it is made from vegetables, so it will gradually break down when it is buried under the earth and pose no threat to the ecology. This type is totally friendly to environment.
The other type is made from recycled PET bottle fibers. Used bottles and other plastics are collected, washed, disinfected, compressed and finally transformed into lanyards. During the whole process, no extra plastics are produced and used. So this kind doesn’t add another burden to our community. Though they are still plastics and may cause pollution, but to some extent this type of promotional lanyards does help protect the environment.
