How to Lower the Cost of Lanyards to the Minimum

Lanyards would be a wonderful choice for they are cheaper than most promotional products. Then how to lower the cost of lanyards to the minimum?

Their cost is decided by the following factors: the materials used, attachment, and the paint used to print the lanyards. The string of the material maybe made of nylon, polyester, bamboos and recycled PET bottle fibers. Lanyards made of bamboos maybe a bit expensive compared to those made of other materials.

As to attachments, there is an array of them, including simple J hook, alligator clip, deluxe swivel, J swivel, superior “O” clip. They are made of plastic or mental. Generally speaking, attachments made of plastics are cheaper.

For paints used to print lanyards, if you need to use some special colors, the price will go up a bit. So it’s advisable for you to use some common color.

Lanyards Made In New Zealand

I often get asked about local suppliers of lanyards and if any are produced in New Zealand. Sad fact is there is no local manufacturing base for lanyards in New Zealand. Most sourcing companies get their lanyards from China. This doesn’t mean to say these lanyards are of inferior quality. China is probably the most prolific producer of lanyards in the world, so you’re not getting a shabby product, but it does mean that if you have a policy of only buying Kiwi made products, that’s not going to be possible when purchasing lanyards.

You can still get printed lanyards within a few weeks, even though they are done overseas. Some lanyard suppliers will try and hold back orders to consolidate freight and they’re the ones that will say it takes 3 to 4 weeks. Anyone offering a two week turnaround means they fly your lanyards in exclusively. You might pay a little more, but if you need your lanyards quicker and you can’t buy them locally here in New Zealand, then these lanyards are probably your best option
