Lanyards And Mobile Phones

Ever wondered what a cool printed lanyard could have on it to get younger people more involved and wearing your brand. One of the best ways is to add a mobile phone holder to the bottom of your printed lanyards so they can attach them to the end. You can get all types of funky colours and have them molded to your order if you have a large volume. Otherwise there are standard shaped mobile hone holders for smaller orders of printed lanyards.

Lanyard With Mobile Phone AttachmentIf you want to help appeal to a younger demographic don’t forget about the type of lanyard you choose. Funky translucent coloured PVC printed lanyards are one option that are eye catching and perfect for younger females. If it’s for guys you might want to look at full colour printed lanyards to grab their attention.

Although I’ve focused on mobile phone attachments for your lanyards, there are other types of functional clips that could help add appeal such as a stronger carabiner attachment for holding keys or you can also get water bottle holders which are great for outdoor events or music festivals. Combine it with security ID for patrons and you’ll have a promotional lanyard that they are sure to use well after the event has finished

Conference Lanyards For Events

There are obvious benefits to using printed lanyards for conferences and other promotional events. Firstly there is the security angle. Having conference lanyards printed with the event name helps security and staff easily identify valid patrons. The other part that many businesses don’t consider is the advertising benefits. Imagine a trade show with 5,000 attendees and they are all walking around with their conference lanyard printed with your logo. Firstly everyone is seeing your business name as they pass other attendees, the people themselves get reinforced about your company every tuime they take off their lanyard and if they walk outside to grab a bite to eat or wear it home, it advertises your business again.

You can even help reduce the costs of promoting yourself through conference lanyards by going in partnership with another business that works well with yours. Perhaps a real estate company and a mortgage broker could do a cross reference promotion for each other. There are a heap of possibilities, so when you next get an invitation to present at an event, don’t forget to consider the promotional aspect that might be of benefit to your business if you used their conference lanyards to promote yourself

Black Lanyards In New Zealand

Hands up who know what the most popular colour in lanyards is for New Zealand. If you happened to be one of the smart people that said black lanyards, then you’d be right. I think on a ratio basis, for every two lanyards sold, one would have to be a black lanyard. I personally think they look great and when you add a white or silver print, the logos or advertising slogans really stand out.

It may be something that others tease us about, but I think black is cool and makes much more sense that a light lanyard that will show up dirt and grime

Black lanyardsYou can get black lanyards in many different styles. The most popular are the bootlace style made from woven polyester material or the flat style ribber polyester lanyards, both of which can come in black and many other colour options. If your budget allows you could also opt for woven lanyards that have a much higher perceived value, but whatever you choose, in my opinion black lanyards are cool!

Tips On Buying Printed Lanyards

In terms of visual appeal, the use of printed lanyards can be very effective. For larger corporate companies, they might want their logos or an advertising blurb printed on the lanyards, or for individuals they might use them for things like birthday parties or special events.

There are some things to consider when doing printed lanyards and the most important is to make sure you source the printing and the lanyard from the same company. Trying to purchase plain lanyards and then getting them printed elsewhere can be very difficult to do and not many printers in New Zealand are geared for this type of thing. It can also save you money in the long term as printed lanyards can vary in quality from company to company, so it’s best to choose someone reputable and get them to deal with the materials and colours.

Printed Lanyards

Another important decision with printed lanyards is the colour of the lanyard and the colour of the print. Always try to get a good contrast between the two. A black lanyard with white print will obviously stand out, or red with black print. Just try and avoid similar colours as they will tend to bleed into each other and then you’ll end up with a printed lanyard that nobody can read. This would just end up being a waste of both your time and money. Always consult hte lanyard manufacturer as they will be able to advise on colour mixes to achieve the best results

Cheap Lanyards For Marketing Purposes

We get asked a lot whether cheap lanyards are worth buying, or are they likely to fall apart after a few uses. Quite frankly it really depends on the supplier. The cheapest lanyards to buy are obviously unprinted and most online lanyard stores carry them in stock, usually with a simple attachment at the bottom to connect an ID card.

If you are looking to do a bulk purchase, then you can also get cheap lanyards printed with a logo. To keep costs down, the best option is to do a one colour print as usually you’ll be charged extra for each print colour you do. When purchasing, ask the supplier whether they stitch the attachment on the end of if they use a metal crimp.

Some places try not to stitch the end to keep their manufacturing costs down, but the flip side to this is the end of the lanyards can come apart with a few solid tugs, so if you have found a place offering cheap lanyards, make sure they stitch the ends and you should have no problems.
