Hands up who know what the most popular colour in lanyards is for New Zealand. If you happened to be one of the smart people that said black lanyards, then you’d be right. I think on a ratio basis, for every two lanyards sold, one would have to be a black lanyard. I personally think they look great and when you add a white or silver print, the logos or advertising slogans really stand out.

It may be something that others tease us about, but I think black is cool and makes much more sense that a light lanyard that will show up dirt and grime

Cheap Lanyards For Marketing Purposes

We get asked a lot whether cheap lanyards are worth buying, or are they likely to fall apart after a few uses. Quite frankly it really depends on the supplier. The cheapest lanyards to buy are obviously unprinted and most online lanyard stores carry them in stock, usually with a simple attachment at the bottom to connect an ID card.

If you are looking to do a bulk purchase, then you can also get cheap lanyards printed with a logo. To keep costs down, the best option is to do a one colour print as usually you’ll be charged extra for each print colour you do. When purchasing, ask the supplier whether they stitch the attachment on the end of if they use a metal crimp.

Some places try not to stitch the end to keep their manufacturing costs down, but the flip side to this is the end of the lanyards can come apart with a few solid tugs, so if you have found a place offering cheap lanyards, make sure they stitch the ends and you should have no problems.
